PrimeGlobal’s World Conferences always provide a unique opportunity to meet and build stronger relationships with your peers from more than 80 countries and most of the world’s great business centres. With over 160 attendees from 30 countries across the world, this year's World Conference in Mexico City was no exception. With opportunities to hear world-class speakers, experience new and exciting networking events, and spend time with partners from excellent firms this year's event bristled with energy as attendees soaked up the incredible and exciting atmosphere of Mexico City.

The opening day of the World Conference began with a number of Optional Technical Sessions which were a great way to ease long distance travellers into the next four days of exciting and engaging activities. Beginning with Juan Rivero's (Rivero & Olivares) interesting session on Transfer Pricing attendees engaged in an afternoon of active discussions and debates around key issues in the accounting industry. A panel discussion on residency and domicile, with representatives from each of the four regions followed. Richard Linder (SingerLewak, Los Angeles, USA) was joined on stage by Robert Lissauer (Hall Chadwick Melbourne, Australia) Ryan Losi (Piascik, USA) Marcelo Santini (Mssantini, Brazil) and Tony Hopson (Buzzacott, UK). The afternoon ended with a great session on The issues of permanent establishment from Giorgio De Giorgi, (Studio De Giorgi e Associati, Italy). The day was brought to a close with a spectacular Welcome Cocktail Reception & Dinner at Hacienda de Los Morales. This gave attendees the opportunity to meet, connect and relax before a busy second day in Mexico City.

After a hearty breakfast attendees boarded busses headed for the Organico Hotel Boutiqe, a picturesque hotel nestled in the Ajusco mountains. The Teambuilding for a Cause day gave attendees the opportunity to give back to the local community by gathering items for care packages to give to local families. Attendees were split into teams and presented with a number of fun and exciting activities. From sack races and basketball to archery and tug of war, attendees were put through their paces in the beautiful Ajusco sunshine. After a deserved lunch break the local families were given their care packages as attendees showed the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Day three began with an official welcome to Mexico City from Juan I. Rivero, Chairman (Latin America & Caribbean Board) alongside some exciting traditional Mexican dancing. The day continued along it's energetic path with the wonderful LEGO Serious Play Workshop where attendees used LEGO to build bridges, work together and develop closer relationships. The room buzzed with excitement as the session brought together knowledge and creativity in an engaging way. After Tim Davidson, World Chairman, (Fortunity) gave a presentation on the processes undertaken by the World Board and the next steps regarding Governance, Strategy, Financial and Organisation it was down to the Chief Regional Officers to give their updates on each region. Each Regional Officer detailed the overall regional business plans and recruitment results and future plans before Gorana Stojanovic, Chief Marketing Officer gave a presentation on how to use the new PrimeGlobal Website.

After a deserved break attendees were given the opportunity to build even stronger relationships with one another as they took part in the "new and improved" Speed Networking session. A new twist to an old favorite, there was a fresh spin on the traditional speed networking format. Each member answered a series of questions at each table before moving on to the next as the room filled with meaningful conversation and a great appetite for learning from one another. Day three closed with a beautiful Gala dinner at the Franz Mayer Museum in the heart of Mexico City. The stunning candle lit courtyard made for a perfect backdrop for a great group photo and a relaxing evening.

The final day of the PrimeGlobal World Conference began with a light-hearted and funny session; Mexican comedian Diego Zanassi's "You're Not 20 Anymore" show filled the room full of laughter for the opening hour. Michael Weidokal, President and Executive Director, ISA followed with his presentation on Global Economic Outlook as he delved into how the trends and events of the past year will impact international trade and investment in 2018 and the years beyond.
