In the highly competitive modern labor market, attracting and retaining qualified, sought-after candidates is more difficult than ever. Thus, the onboarding process and the first 100 days at a company are key to staying ahead of the field.

ABAB Accountants and Advisors are well aware of this challenge. Similar to their approach to making a significant difference for their clients through reliability, asking difficult questions, and multi-disciplinary market teams, there is an understanding that each new employee at the firm is unique and requires a tailored onboarding experience.

The experience of Monique van Lieverloo, the new Food and Agriculture Market Manager at ABAB, is a testament to this understanding. Before starting at ABAB, Monique met for an interview with CEO Ronald Meijers and emphasized the importance of freedom and trust in a new employer in order to feel happy in her work. She is glad to say that ABAB really delivers on that promise.

"I'm given every opportunity to do my job as I see fit. Will everything go well at once? Certainly not. But by pioneering and experiencing for myself what works and what doesn't, I get the chance to learn and grow" Monique van Lieverloo, Food and Agriculture Market Manager at ABAB

Upon joining the company, Monique has been made to feel very welcome thanks to the extensive onboarding program, a regular contact person with whom she can always talk, the great colleagues who are there for her, the informal atmosphere, and the space to develop herself.

An invitation from the CEO to the '100 Days Dinner' on behalf of the Board of Directors further illustrates how seriously the whole company takes employee satisfaction and retention. All new colleagues who started three months previously are invited to informally share their experiences from their first 100 days, as well as put forward questions, ideas, and recommendations; a clear sign of the open work culture being fostered at ABAB.

Based on her participation in the 100 Days Club, Monique is more motivated than ever to further drive cooperation and inspire colleagues to look beyond their boundaries. The ABAB approach to onboarding is evidently bearing fruit.
