Faced with the problem of having a client where they also provide a Director, and therefore being unable to provide audit services themselves, Jullia Wigram, Managing Partner of Dixcart, looked to other member firms within PrimeGlobal for assistance, and Manchester based HURST were able to help.

Laurence Binge, International Director of Dixcart is on the board of Linthwaite House Hotel in the Lake District and heads up their audit committee. The hotel has won many prestigious awards, including Cumbria Tourism’s award for the Large Hotel of the Year 2022, and Laurence knew that only a firm with a first-class, global reputation, would be suitable.

He approached Tim Potter, Chief Executive of HURST when the client decided it was time for a change in auditors. Tim passed the job on to his Partner John Glover and Business services manager Katie Waud, who delivered all they promised, and on time, which was much appreciated by the client.

Furthermore, in a surprising coincidence, the client not only has a hotel in the UK, they also have a sister hotel in South Africa and what became apparent as the two member firms started to collaborate is that Tim had stayed in both hotels.
