We are proud to highlight Thakur Prasad Adhikari, Managing Partner at TP Adhikari & Associates, who is making a significant impact in the field of public financial management and accounting standards across Nepal and the South Asian region. As a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN), he plays a key leadership role, currently chairing ICAN’s Committee on Public Financial Management (PFM) and the Nepal Public Sector Accounting Standards (NEPSAS). This committee is dedicated to enhancing public financial management and promoting robust public sector accounting standards throughout Nepal, ensuring transparency and accountability within the public sector.

In addition to his national contributions, Mr. Adhikari also serves on the Committee on Governmental and Public Sector Enterprises Accounting at the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), a platform that fosters collaboration among professional accountancy bodies in South Asia. In this capacity, he contributes to the ongoing efforts to strengthen public sector accounting and reporting standards across SAFA member countries, promoting consistency and quality in financial reporting.
