Latin America: A year of growth, transformation, and new opportunities
PrimeGlobal News
July 16, 2025PrimeGlobal has had an exceptional year in Latin America, where member satisfaction reaches an impressive 94% in our annual survey, a testament to the commitment, collaboration, and relevance of the initiatives delivered. Sofi Wehncke, PrimeGlobal's Latin America Director, shares key milestones that reflect sustained growth and the strengthening of the regional community.

Unprecedented growth
Our region climbed the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) ranking, from 3rd to 2nd place, with an outstanding 55% increase in revenue. We also recorded the highest staff growth among leading associations, reflecting continued trust in the talent of our professionals and the positive impact of our collective strategies.
We also welcomed new member firm Cueva Mejía y Asociados, further strengthening our regional network and capabilities.New regional structure, new possibilities
In May 2025, an important project to restructure our subregions was approved. This reconfiguration aims to more accurately reflect the commercial, regulatory, and financial particularities of our different areas. From now on, Latin America will be organized into the subregions of Northern Latin America, Central Latin America and Southern Latin America.
This change will allow us to operate more effectively and in alignment with strengthening our support for member firms and creating more opportunities for targeted collaboration.
A renewed and energized regional council
One of this year’s highlights has been the restructuring of our Regional Council. I’m delighted to announce that Jacqueline Campos, partner at PGBR Auditores e Consultores, is leaving our Regional Council since she has been selected to join the Board of Directors. With over 15 years of experience in accounting and audit, and leadership in key areas such as Business Development, New Markets, and Marketing, Jacqueline embodies the modern and strategic vision that drives our continued growth.
I’m also excited to introduce Roberto Bassus, managing partner at Pinther, Bassus & Asociados, as the new chair of our Regional Council. Roberto is a leader with over 25 years of experience in tax and advisory services, heading a firm known for its personalized, technical, and client-focused approach.
Joining them, we welcome our new regional representatives:
Ana Ortiz – Northern Latin America
Jorge Gadea – Central Latin America
María Isabel Audi – Southern Latin America
I have full confidence that this new team will help build trust through tangible results, strengthen our regional value proposition, and stay ahead of the curve so our firms can truly lead the industry. I’m incredibly proud of the level of leadership we’re cultivating in Latin America. I’m certain that together we’ll continue to collaborate and elevate the standard of excellence that defines us.
Communities of practice: collaboration in action
Our Communities of Practice continue to establish themselves as essential spaces for collaboration. The Accounting & Audit and International Tax communities are now in their second year, growing steadily in both participation and content.
This June 2025, we took a step further: launching two new communities—AI & Technology and Talent Development. These new groups will follow an innovative approach, aiming to include professionals at all levels within member firms. The goal is clear: to encourage the creation of procedures, protocols, and an open-access resource library for all members.
Looking ahead
Latin America is in a stage of maturity and expansion. The achievements of this year are the result of joint efforts and the collective energy of all our members. We remain committed to strengthening this community, offering more and better opportunities to grow, share, and lead.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
