Looking Back: Women's Leadership Summit

June 28, 2022

On June 8-10, PrimeGlobal met with our members from the North America region for the Women's Leadership Summit, in Chicago.

This was the first chance this year for our North American members to get together in person and it was clear to see just how happy members were to see each other face-to-face again. This was echoed throughout the event with how engaged and interactive our members were.

The summit was an excellent opportunity to incentivize strong female leaders and high potentials, by hearing from speakers who inspire strong leadership and encourage leveraging energy and creativity as an advantage in the modern firm. We were delighted to have Erin Lydon, Dr. Claire Carver-Dias, Bridget Rich, Camellia Falcon, Natalia Cohen, and Dr. Michelle Buck present at the summit.

We recently had the pleasure of speaking to Erin Lyndon and Dr, Claire Carver-Dias to ask these successful leaders about challenges they have faced in their careers to what advice would they give to the younger generation. You can read more here.

Our first in-person event in North America in over two years was a great success! We had so many talented, inspiring women and allies join the PrimeGlobal Team in Chicago from all over the world! The connections, stories, and laughs that were shared over the course of the event were a great way to reconnect after spending much time apart. Brianna Ridgley

Dress For Success

By encouraging women to take their seats at the table, we selected to partner with Dress for Success, a global organization whose vision is a world where women do not live in poverty and all women are financially independent and are treated with dignity and respect.

Attendees were asked to bring gently used or new clothing to donate and the donations could not have been more generous, including a brand new designer bag!

Summit Highlights

  • During our Poker Power Hour, sponsored by Tri-Merit, all of our members learned to play poker and how using these skills translates into the skills needed to be effective and successful leaders
  • In Losing Sight of Shore, speaker Natalia Cohen inspired all of us with her story of crossing the pacific in a rowing boat. She shared with us that no matter how big of a challenge we face, we are each strong enough to row across our own Pacific.
  • Dr. Claire Carver-Dias gave us the “cheat sheet” for how to look and act like a leader in her instruction manual on enhancing our confidence and competence in order to make lasting first impressions and to fully take a seat at the board room table.
  • Camelia Falcon welcomed all to join the discussion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and how we are able to make small changes in our daily practice to make those around us feel included, valuable, and respected.
  • Dr. Michelle Buck encouraged each of us to write and live our own stories. Not only sharing with our words but fully living the story we create.
