UK member firm Westcotts have been awarded an Investors in People Gold accreditation, in recognition of their commitment to employees and developing a positive work environment.

The firm has been part of Investors in People for over 25 years, in the top third of accredited firms in the accountancy and finance sector. This latest award builds on their existing silver accreditation previously achieved in 2021, putting the firm in the top 11% of all Investors in People organisations.

Investors in People help leaders, employees and companies work together to create an effective environment. Now with over 50,000 organisations assessed, the accreditation is recognised across 101 countries.

At Westcotts, people are the most valuable asset and are critical in enabling the firm to provide exceptional service to clients. The organisation is deeply committed to developing and supporting team members and creating a positive work environment where members feel valued, motivated, and connected to the firm’s vision and values. Significant investment has gone into achieving this vision including through the training on offer to staff. Other practices include an assigned buddy for every new starter, three month bespoke/individual onboarding plans, and weekly training and wellbeing activities.

The assessors highlighted that since the last assessment 3 years ago, Westcotts have moved forward on every measure. In particular, significant improvements were recognised in terms of the training provided, performance management, sustainable success and teamwork.
