Daryush Farshchi from Simmons Gainsford (UK) says: "I am very pleased to have been elected and to be representing the UKI sub-region of the PrimeGlobal EMEA Board. I am a Partner at Simmons Gainsford LLP and I have been with the firm since 2003 when I joined as a graduate from the Oxford University. My client portfolio covers many sectors, but with a specific focus on privately owned businesses run by entrepreneurs, with interests in the UK and aboard. I pay particular interest in working with my clients to understand their drive and ambitions, so to fully assist in achieving their aspirations.

As a firm and with my own clients, we see the need for international advice and support grow daily. How service is delivered and presented has already developed significantly since I started my career in 2003. When I entered the world of business the idea of writing emails on a computer the size of my hand which was also my wallet, the internet, a boarding pass, and which would allow me to connect with anyone, anytime and anywhere was far beyond anything most of us could have imagined. This is just a snapshot of our evolving personal world.

The business world changes too, and at an ever increasing pace. At PG we need to ensure we embrace these changes and continue to work dynamically to enable us to remain an asset for our clients. I have been fortunate enough to see great change already in my career and I can’t remember a time when there wasn’t significant change happening. My experience of enabling Simmons Gainsford to adapt to these events puts me in good stead to help PG navigate through the inevitable future changes as it evolves over the coming years.

To me, the key to success is being able to react and indeed be proactive to flex in the market and the world we find ourselves in. We need to ensure PG continues to work in this way to keep up, if not stay ahead of the game. I am looking forward to working more closely with the EMEA Board and to help them to navigate the challenges that the Association will have going forward."

Each member of the team is responsible for his or her own position but must also remain flexible for the good of the team. Victory begins with defence and ends with attack. A good team is one in which each team member knows what the others are doing. Only through close cooperation is it possible for any team to win. This is applicable not only in the world of sports but also in business. In order to meet the future challenges in our industry, it is imperative that we work together towards achieving our common goals. In my new role as a Board member I look forward to being part of that team which will meet those challenges head on. It is important to develop new strategies together, in order to increase the success and cooperation of all PrimeGlobal members."
