Accounting Today introduced its first-ever list of the Best Firms for Women. Based on the Best Firms to Work For list, the new ranking highlights those firms that: have at least 25 women in the organization or representing 25 percent of staff, whichever is higher, and have female response rates to the Best Firms employee survey of over 50 percent. The list is then ranked by the percent of positive female responses.

PrimeGlobal are extremely proud to be represented twice in Accounting Today's inaugural rankings by McKonley & Asbury and Berntson Porter. It is great to see PrimeGlobal firms developing and promoting women into leadership positions in the accounting industry.

When asked about the importance of female role models within a firm Tommye Barie, partner at PrimeGlobal member firm Mauldin & Jenkins is quoted in the Accounting Today article as saying:

What I've seen and heard is that once women see other women with diverse passions and experiences be successful, then realise "I can be successful too"... But sometimes without that role model, it's hard top get out of that box in a male environment, to say " I can do that too right now". Those role models are sometimes hard to find. I had to look outside of where I work to find it. So if you have someone in your organisation that;'s even better. Tommye Barie, Partner at Mauldin & Jenkins
