Wellbeing at PrimeGlobal

Talent Development
February 23, 2022

This month, we have been sharing wellbeing stories from our member firms on what they are doing to improve their staff wellbeing and the huge benefits it brings to their businesses.

Here at PrimeGlobal we are no different to our members, we understand the value of a strong wellbeing culture, especially for talent development. So, what does wellbeing mean to us here at PrimeGlobal and how do we ensure that the wellbeing of our people is a top priority?

PrimeGlobal has staff located across the world and all employees work fully remotely (this was even before the pandemic). We know it’s more of a challenge to check-in on our employees’ wellbeing compared to being in a physical office so we have developed a number of initiatives that run each month, to keep the mental health and wellbeing of our staff at the forefront of our minds.

Our monthly ‘Eat, Drink and Chat’ social event gives our global team a chance to get to know each other in an informal environment. We share our Spotify playlists, play games, and just have a general catch-up. There’s also the regular ‘Break at the coffee machine’ which is a chance to to keep in touch with our colleagues around the world.

Employee wellbeing and mental health is a top priority for the management team at PrimeGlobal. We’ve introduced regular social events so we can meet and talk as a team. I have quarterly check-ins with every staff member, so I can meet with everyone on an individual basis and any concerns can be discussed Stephen Heathcote, Chief Executive Officer

During COVID, there have not been the usual opportunities for our in-person team meetings, but as the travel restrictions start to ease and our face-to-face member events are back on the calendar, this will allow the team to reconnect with their colleagues and members. In fact, next month at the Technical Conference, the PrimeGlobal events team will be reunited in Budapest and meeting face-to-face for the first time in over two years.

Remote Working Tips from the PrimeGlobal Team

We recently held a successful wellbeing session for all PrimeGlobal staff and as part of this discussion, individuals shared their thoughts, techniques, and tips.

  • Take regular breaks and try and get outside for some fresh air and a walk every day.
  • Try working from another location, like a local café, for a change of scene.
  • Take some time out of your day to try some mindfulness. There are lots of different apps for meditation and relaxation.
  • Schedule time for speaking to friends, lunch dates and exercise rather than remaining at your computer all day.
