This venture originates from Andrés Moreno, former PrimeGlobal Latin America Region President and managing partner of Colombia´s member firm ASTAF. Andrés Moreno specialized in delivering investment banking services in Colombia for over 22 years. ASTAF has been a member of Prime Global for over 20 years.

Mr. Moreno established a partnership with two former Latin America Regional Presidents: Mr. Miguel Sepulveda, leader of Traust Accounting & Legal Firm in Monterrey, Mexico, and Mr. Marcelo Santini, head of MS Santini Multifamily Office in São Paulo, Brazil. To maintain close ties with member countries, Latin America was divided into three regions: Central America and Mexico, the Andean Region, and the Southern Cone. The head office was strategically located in Miami, USA, a natural hub for business in the Americas.

Metritha was officially launched two years ago at a PrimeGlobal event in Rio de Janeiro. In 2022, Metritha invited PrimeGlobal firms from eleven countries in the region to join the alliance, including El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina.

On November 6-8, 2024, Metritha Investment & Business Banking hosted its first workshop in Bogota, Colombia, with attendees from twelve countries. The event focused on refining technical, commercial, and operational processes while fostering collaboration among member firms, aiming to officially launch this alliance on January 01 2025.

Metritha aims to serve Latin American companies with four main lines of service:

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

Companies seek growth by increasing their market presence locally and regionally, achieving greater efficiencies, and improving results. Shareholders aim to enhance the value and liquidity of their holdings, driving sector consolidations, strategic actions, and succession decisions that energize the M&A market. Metritha has experience in both sell-side and buy-side transactions.

Equity Participation

Companies in a growth phase require long-term resources that can be provided by new investors. Equity investors typically finance activities such as the acquisition of companies, the strengthening of the capital structure, the buyout of partner stakes and the expansion of product lines and regional markets. Metritha has extensive experience in raising capital from institutional investors, such as private equity funds and family offices.

Long-Term Financing

During expansion periods, companies need to invest in civil works, machinery, equipment, facilities, and technology, in addition to requiring working capital to support these investments. These resources can be obtained through long-term financing lines from international and national development institutions such as the IFC, BID Invest, CAF, DEG, and Proparco. Metritha fully structures these long-term financing operations with these institutions.

Valuations and Projects

To provide the aforementioned services, Metritha has developed technical skills that enable the preparation of various studies. These works support the services offered and can also be provided independently to companies. These include economic valuation of companies and businesses, business plans, economic-financial feasibility studies, and company and business diagnostics.
