Navigating Capital Markets with Carr Riggs Ingram
Business Opportunities
March 24, 2026 - Carr, Riggs & IngramThe profession is changing fast. Expanding into new service areas is a priority for many, but building specialist capability in-house isn't always realistic. This article explores how a new Capital Markets Practice launched by top 25 US member firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram (CRI) can benefit all PrimeGlobal members.

"Capital markets are at the center of how companies grow.” Bill Carr, CRI Chairman
For smaller and mid-sized firms, there is a clear gap in the market for capital markets. The largest firms concentrate their capital markets resources on Fortune 500 clients, while smaller regional firms often lack the technical depth that PCAOB audits, SOX compliance, and SEC financial reporting demand. That leaves companies with revenues anywhere from pre-revenue to $1 billion without access to the quality of support that their situation requires.
CRI’s new practice is built specifically to close that gap, by serving small-cap and middle-market companies with national-caliber expertise.
The practice is led by Brent Leslie, Partner-in-Charge, who brings more than 20 years of experience helping growth-oriented companies access public markets. It will serve clients nationwide, with physical operations in New York City and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
"Small cap and middle market companies have been underserved in the capital markets space for a long time. These are companies doing meaningful work in technology, software, manufacturing, and many other sectors, and they deserve the same quality of accounting and advisory support that larger companies receive." Brent Leslie, Partner-in-Charge, CRI Capital Markets
The service offering covers two main areas. For companies pursuing or already operating as public entities:
- IPO readiness assessments
- SEC registration and periodic reporting
- PCAOB-compliant audits
- SOX compliance
- Technical accounting and GAAP advisory
- Ongoing public company support
For private equity-related work:
- Quality of Earnings (Q of E) analyses
- Buy- and sell-side due diligence
- Purchase price allocation and valuation services
- Portfolio company audit and tax services
For PrimeGlobal member firms, this is a practical addition to what membership makes possible, helping to expand capabilities and better serve clients. If you have clients exploring a capital raise, preparing for an IPO, or working through a private equity transaction, but lack experience in these areas, CRI's team is open to collaboration and referrals.
Member firms interested in exploring collaboration or referring clients are welcome to reach out directly to Brent Leslie or Joshua Hallett at CRI’s Capital Markets Practice.
