PrimeGlobal has established a clear commitment to sustainability programs by embedding actionable ESG and ESR targets into the association’s 5-year Strategy. The association and its members, recognize the importance of building an environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive future and integrated these insights into Strategy 2025.

This sustainability commitment is championed by two world class achievements: the first publicly published, ‘ESG style’ Annual Impact Report and the launching of a practical B Corp Workbook for small to mid-sized accounting firms.

Annual ESG Impact Report

The first ever, global association Impact Report, styled in an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) format was developed by PrimeGlobal and released to association members and publicly available on the association website. The Impact Report holds accountable both PrimeGlobal and its firms, by reporting ESG benchmarks for the year and highlighting the firms who have championed responsible practices and achieved high sustainability standards.

The report provides full transparency regarding ESG commitment and detailed initiatives while holding PrimeGlobal and its firms to a higher standard and inspiring others to publish ESG information, aspiring to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Create Better Business Models for a Better World”

This is the first guidebook to be published by an association that specifically targets middle-tier accounting firms. The workbook, created in collaboration with B Corp-certified member firm, Eshuis Accountants and Advisors, adopts the principles of the five B Corp standards and fundamentals while providing member firm examples, case studies, and practical exercises. The goal of publishing the B Corp Workbook is to inspire members and supply a roadmap to embed ESG practices in the firm and offer services to clients. This publication assists firms and supports clients in positive steps to address sustainability and instills a clear sense of purpose and commitment. The book was unveiled at regional summits with copies given to the attendees.

PrimeGlobal Strategy 2025

PrimeGlobal Strategy 2025 is committed to promoting strong ESG messaging and opportunities for the association team, the firms, their clients, and the global accounting profession.

This perfectly aligns with the purpose, values, vision, and mission of PrimeGlobal’s Strategy 2025.

PrimeGlobal ESR

The Environmental Social Responsibility (ESR) strategy of the PrimeGlobal team is linked to the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and focuses on four main areas:

• PrimeGlobal Planet-pledge to organize green events and reduce the environmental footprint during live events
• Local Community Support initiatives, donating event food excess, and supporting organizations that share a passion for social responsibility
• Promoting a diverse and inclusive association, advocating equity within the staff, the board of directors, the advisory team, and firms, while fostering positive mental well-being and valuing every perspective.

• Continuing to positively impact the communities that host events with responsible, socially conscious, environmentally friendly activities

Helping Member Firms and Clients

• An ESG Training workshop was launched, enlisting instructors from the wider ESG community. The curriculum focuses on establishing technical ESG services for clients.
• PrimeGlobal's commitment to sustainability is broadcast through a dedicated website hub. This knowledge center provides thought leadership, member initiatives and association events promoting sustainability initiatives to support client demands and ESG implementation
• The Annual Impact Report, published every year and distributed to member firms, was restructured to reflect the importance of ESG (Environmental protection, Social inclusion, and Governance).
• PrimeGlobal has organized an expert sustainability group comprised of early-adopting firms from around the globe, who share expertise, and aim to help each other with client opportunities. They also operate with consideration for a wide range of stakeholders. Meeting quarterly, these firms contribute knowledge and experience, structured to assist other member firms on the ESG journey.
• The Business Leadership Forum in Edinburgh, Scotland included a “Journey to ESG” session, dedicating time for members to share best practices and improve their sustainability efforts.
• The PrimeGlobal CEO joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales Sustainability Committee. This committee is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of ICAEW’s sustainability strategy and policy.
• Collaboration with Xero furthers ESG expertise and leadership by providing members with practical help to introduce climate impact services. Xero is a frequent presenter at PrimeGlobal events in all world regions.

Accounting Profession

• While launching the B Corp workbook, PrimeGlobal partnered with Marcello Palazzi, founder of B Corp in Europe and Aldo van Duivenboden, with the Saxion University of Applied Science, Conscious Business Lab.
• PrimeGlobal is included in the exclusive AICPA invitation to the annual ESG Summit.
• The 2023 IFRS Sustainability Symposium summary was provided to PrimeGlobal, giving early direction on the new guidance from the ISSB and SEC.
• PrimeGlobal firms were pressed to provide feedback and submit exposure draft comment letters to SEC.
• The association worked with ESG consultants on initial IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, S1 and S2, effective 2024.
• Strategic partner ACCA, think tank initiative, collaborates with PrimeGlobal firms, and provides firm intel on ESG successes, concerns, and recommendations.

PrimeGlobal is successfully equipping firms to assist clients through educational opportunities, advising clients on methods to reduce environmental impact as governments move to net zero economies. PrimeGlobal is proud to partner with dozens of industry resources, gathering ESG experts to consult with the team and association firms.
