PrimeGlobal attained a remarkable year with unprecedented achievements and superior execution as well as winning the Association of the Year for a second year running at the International Accounting Bulletin Awards.

Throughout 2022/3, the team and members at PrimeGlobal have executed ambitious strategic endeavors, upholding the enduring tradition of showcasing the utmost professional excellence to both clients and the wider industry.

Pursuing Strategy 2025, PrimeGlobal’s 5-year plan, the success was built on a foundation of technology, sustainability, and accountability.

PrimeGlobal launched a sophisticated Association Management System (AMS), leveraging technology to substantially increase staff support with state-of-the-art sophistication and providing members with advanced engagement and communication tools.

The association established a clear commitment to ESG education, expertise, and confidence to support initiatives and client sustainability needs including a published B Corp Workbook, technical workshop and an ESG think tank.

The progress and achievements of Strategy 2025 are accountable in the association's Impact Report. This year’s report highlights strategic achievements aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is distributed to members and available publicly.

Execution of Profitable Growth Strategies and Position Strength

PrimeGlobal achieved double-digit growth in 2021/22 of 12% ($4B USD), higher than any top 10 association, far exceeding the 7% average association growth.

  • With a targeted recruitment strategy focused on the Asia Pacific region, 5 new members were added, catapulting PrimeGlobal to the number two position, with 37% growth in this region.
  • PrimeGlobal's EMEA region saw the addition of 6 members including key areas Libya, Turkey, and Slovenia.
  • The Latin American region grew in key markets with 10% growth in Brazil, 34% in Chile, increasing strategic coverage in Ecuador and Panama, and adding Bolivia.
PrimeGlobal membership includes 13 Top 100 North American firms, more than any other association, and 20 global firms +$50M USD, positioning both strength in collaboration, and helping serve clients in small and mid-tier firms.

    Annually, PrimeGlobal issues a Member Satisfaction Survey, administered by a 3rd party. Distributed to all professionals, member satisfaction rose to 84% (+4), affirming members recognize value and high quality of services.

    • 86% (+5) of those surveyed would recommend PrimeGlobal.
    • The standard measure of loyalty, Net Promoter Score, increased to +33% (+7).
    • PrimeGlobal remains one of the most diverse associations, with locations increasing to 900+, with strong growth across all regions.
    • Retention and recruitment remain consistently strong with the addition of 14 global members.
    • PrimeGlobal issued 15,926 CPE credits this year and introduced self-service CPE management using the new AMS platform.
    Excellence in Key Strategic and Operational Areas

    Launching My PrimeGlobal has revolutionized member interaction and communication speed while streamlining systems and eliminating onerous tasks for association staff. Integrating data and services through the PrimeGlobal website, members and staff now experience significantly increased value regarding registrations, engagement, invoice payments, expertise searches, and interactive communities of practice. A Member Platform Manager role was added to support and lead all stakeholder groups in the technical management and development of ‘My PrimeGlobal’.

    The first-ever, ESG formatted, association Impact Report, was developed by PrimeGlobal and holds accountable both PrimeGlobal and its firms, by reporting ESG benchmarks and highlighting firms who have championed responsible practices and achieved high sustainability standards. The annual Impact Report provides full transparency regarding ESG commitment and detailed initiatives while holding PrimeGlobal and its firms to a higher standard and inspiring others to publish ESG information. The strategic achievements detailed in this year’s Impact Report are aligned to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Strategy 2025.

    PrimeGlobal published a B Corp Workbook targeted at small and mid-sized accounting firms to help embrace sustainability initiatives and take positive steps to serve clients. It features case studies from member firms around the world who are championing sustainability. This effort is supported by a sustainability member think tank group that meets to discuss firm and client issues and help other firms along this journey.

    Industry Leadership and Initiatives

    PrimeGlobal added an Outsourcing Knowledge Center to the already robust strategic partnerships. This resource library provides solutions to the talent shortage by sharing successful resources that are assisting member firms by extending the team outside the traditional firm. PrimeGlobal is equipping members with a roadmap to promote talent retention and firm growth.

    An ESG workshop and webinar series were created to help members embed ESG in the firm strategy and offer ESG as a client service line. The in-person workshop combines instructors from the profession, firms, and academia.

    A Workation initiative was created by member firm Joanknecht and is currently available in over 20 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America. Combining work and holiday abroad, professionals experience an international environment while continuing employment at their PrimeGlobal firm. Colleagues from abroad host professionals, providing a workstation and facilitating networking with like-minded firms, promoting international relations.

    Scaling automation with anticipatory firms, PrimeGlobal is supporting mid-sized member firm collaboration by sharing research development, challenges, and successes. This combined effort accelerates the tech transformation and thus, employee and client satisfaction, retention, loyalty, and ultimately
    firm revenue growth.

    PrimeGlobal member firms enjoyed another prosperous year, characterized by a wealth of accolades and exceptional financial achievements.

    • 21 PrimeGlobal members were honored as Forbes 2023 “Best Tax & Accounting Firms”. These award-winning firms are recommended by their peers as having exemplary business ethics and professional decorum.
    • 13 North American firms were recognized as Inside Public Accounting (IPA) Best of the Best, based on 50+ metrics including superior financial results, planning for long-term, sustainable growth and talent retention.
    • Two PrimeGlobal firms were awarded Accounting Today’s prestigious Best Places to Work.
    • Promoting contemporary workplace appeal, member firm, Eshuis Accountants and Advisors achieved B Corp certification with other PrimeGlobal firms in the B Corp pipeline.
    • 10 PrimeGlobal firms were honored with the impressive 2023 Best of Accounting award. These PrimeGlobal world class firms achieved superior ratings for client and employee experience, outpacing industry NPS benchmarks.
    • PrimeGlobal firms drove 17% growth in advisory services, clearly confirming credibility and integrity.

    Performance in the Face of Adversity

    PrimeGlobal tragically suffered the sudden passing of LATAM Executive Director, Estefania Pantoja Lahoz in September 2022. Estefy led the region for 7 years and was held in high regard by the entire PrimeGlobal community. Heartfelt tributes were paid to Estefy and her family during the ensuing months, demonstrating the strength and compassion of the PrimeGlobal family. Digital tributes, in-person conference dedications and photo memories were shared with membership and her relatives. The Executive Management Team, Board of Directors and LATAM Advisory Council worked together to support the region with a staff advocate being appointed to manage member needs.
