February 22, 2022 - Henderson LoggiePrimeGlobal member firm Henderson Loggie in the UK have recently drawn on a key benefit of membership, PrimeGlobal’s international business referrals, to benefit not only their own firm, but to also provide business opportunities for their fellow member firm, Raich Ende Malter (REM) & Co.

A UK-based client of Henderson Loggie’s also has a subsidiary in New Jersey, North America, and their inventory counting was due for the 2021 year-end audit.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID travel restrictions that were in place at the time, the Henderson Loggie team were unable to travel to complete the work and so they suggested to the client that they outsource the counting to their associated firm in New Jersey, which would solve this issue and ensure they provided their client with continuous support, whilst also getting the necessary audit evidence.
Having found the details of member firm REM & Co. on the PrimeGlobal Firm Search, Henderson Loggie made contact with REM & Co. who responded the same day, and an initial call was set up. The two members discussed the principles of the work and REM & Co. confirmed they could help Henderson Loggie with the inventory counting.
REM & Co. completed the work as agreed and Henderson Loggie’s client was very happy with the process and the outcome. Based on the cost of the work compared with the time and travel cost for their own team, the client is now considering whether they might adopt this approach in future. Henderson Loggie will also continue to use REM & Co. for the audit inventory observation exercise and the two firms intend to build on the strong connections they have already forged through PrimeGlobal’s business referrals.
